In this presentation we will look at how acupuncture works from both an ancient Chinese perspective and from a modern scientific perspective!

Seth Shamon L.Ac. M.O.M. Dip.Lac. is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist who has been studying and practicing Chinese medicine since 2012. He has seen over 17,000 patients in that time for a wide variety of health conditions. Seth has been blessed to study with some of the best living teachers of Chinese medicine in China and the West. In 2018 he lived and studied for a year in Taiwan and China under the tutelage of Dr. Lee Chen-Yu (李政育). He also completed a rotation at the Nanjing University of TCM Hospital. Seth has been on faculty at Virginia University of Integrative Medicine and Maryland University of Integrative Health, teaching acupuncture and herbal medicine and as a clinical supervisor in their student clinics. He is also the Clinical Director of Well Path Institute, Utah's first acupuncture school, founded in 2024. Through his extensive clinical work treating many complex and chronic conditions, Seth's has found a deeper purpose in serving patients through (1) embodying a healing presence for patients to connect with their higher selves and (2) understanding the body's symptoms as our teachers on how to live. All his treatments are focused on getting to the root cause of disease rather than simply fixing symptoms.
